About Georgie

Helping you find the perfect gift with art that captures the beauty of nature, or rekindles memories of a special place, an adored pet, or a loved one.

Getting To Know Georgie

I’m here to help with your search for that special memory for you, or the perfect gift for your loved one.

I understand how tricky it can be to shop online and find the right gift, but I’ve been told that I’m easy to work with and I’m always ready to answer any queries.

I love to be challenged with my art commissions, so please, just ask me!

Drawing is my passion. It allows me to be creative, expressive and focused on something I love doing, and it means so much when my artwork creates positive reactions in people!

I believe that we all need a reason to get up in the morning, something we can hope for and look forward to. Lack of hope can make us stall, fall flat and even cease completely. I believe the beauty around us can be a beacon of hope.

I love working with customers and clients, old and new - it’s such a privilege!

I have clients and customers that I’ve worked with on a regular basis, and it’s great to build up a relationship, as I find that so fulfilling, and it also helps me to keep delivering the right artwork for your needs.

I’m usually able to work to a deadline if you need a special gift for a certain date or event, and I enjoy creating bespoke pieces of artwork that you may not find elsewhere.

You’ll find me very adaptable and more than willing to meet different needs, options and challenges, along the way.

My Art Journey

My Gran and my Dad were both artistic and were a great encouragement to me too.  I learned to become more confident and open through my drawing, and realised I had a talent for it, even at a young age.

Life passes by, doesn’t it, and you tend to lose interest in the things you loved as a child, and this happened to me as I got older.

As a child, I was quietly spoken and painfully shy,  but I was always creative and expressed my emotions through drawings and the written word, rather than out loud. I’m sure that some of you will relate to this.

However, I found some of my old drawings in 2016, some 30 years later, and posted them on Facebook, getting a very unexpected response to them, as so many of my family and friends said they were really good! This led to a few commissions, and then things began to progress from there and later, led to me creating my own prints, cards and gifts.

You never know where your dreams might take you…

I hope this inspires others to go for it and follow their heart’s desires, you might surprise yourself too!

It’s a privilege to have worked with so many clients on commissioned portraits.

Through years of experience, continual practice, and constant self-challenge, I’ve learned to be confident in the work I produce, and this adds to the joy I feel as I work! You’ll find me very approachable, my drawings very detailed and created with so much love and care.

As I specialise in drawing portraits, I love being commissioned to draw individual or family portraits.  Drawing pets and animals is a pleasure too, and a pencil drawing is such a personal and touching way to capture your loved one.

I get asked to do a lot of memorial portraits and this can be such a beautiful way to honour the memory of someone you’ve lost.  It’s a privilege to have worked with many clients in this area, and as this means dealing with often raw emotions, building mutual trust and understanding is vital.

What I Love

  • I’m an avid reader with a good imagination so I can really lose myself in a good book!

  • I love watching films, and going out for walks, often with my camera as I’m a keen photographer.

  • Food is another huge passion, so home cooking and eating out with family and friends is something I do as often as I can!

  • I adore animals and nature, and it’s always a joy to be able to draw so many different things.

  • I also love brain training; crosswords, cryptic puzzles, sudoku etc.

I Believe In…

  • …connecting deeply with what I’m creating and this can’t be rushed as I endeavour to capture every detail that I possibly can.

  • …affordable and accessible art, for all. I don’t believe in extortionate price tags for art that’s been created with minimal effort and nothing of the artist.

  • …kindness; always being polite and courteous.

  • …the ability that art has of evoking emotion as it’s able to capture a moment in time that a photograph cannot.

  • …meeting a deadline to the best of my ability.
